ClearScore
Financial Health
As Principal Designer, I played a key role in shaping the direction of ClearScore’s product—defining the experience, quality, and features that support the financial health of over 20 million users. Working across product, design, and leadership, I helped evolve ClearScore from a credit score provider into a broader financial platform, setting the vision for how the product would grow and adapt to changing user needs.

Idea
Your credit score and report. For free, forever
ClearScore was built to remove the guesswork from credit decisions. By giving users free, unlimited access to their credit score and report, it puts the power to understand, improve, and take control of their financial health in their hands—helping them make better decisions with confidence.
Idea
User first. Revenue second
ClearScore’s model focused on building trust first—helping users improve their credit health before presenting relevant, pre-approved offers. This balance between user value and commercial performance was key to the product’s success.
Idea
From credit check to financial well-being
As user needs evolved, I helped shape the shift from a credit score product to a broader financial health platform—recognising that users require more personalised support based on their individual circumstances and goals.
Idea
Helping people achieve their financial goals
This led to a more personalised ClearScore experience, designed to adapt to each user—connecting data, insights, and recommendations in a way that feels relevant and actionable.
Idea
Apply on ClearScore
I led the design direction for Apply on ClearScore—bringing the application journey into the product to reduce friction and improve conversion. Users can complete the entire process, from verification to submission, directly within ClearScore.
Impact
The UK’s Number One Credit Health Service
ClearScore has grown into a widely trusted financial platform, serving over 20 million users across the UK, South Africa, Australia, and Canada—helping people better understand and improve their financial health.
My Role
Principal Designer responsible for shaping product direction, experience quality, and future vision across ClearScore’s platform. I worked across acquisition, engagement, and marketplace, leading design on key initiatives and defining how the product evolved. I also led research and concept work for new propositions, including DriveScore and ClearScore’s next-generation financial health experience.
